About

This site is a place to provide information and news about Whitton Place, Horsenden Place & Whitton Drive allotments.

You can find us most Sunday Mornings in the Trading Hut at our Whitton Place site, adjacent to 415 Whitton Avenue UB6 0JU.

While our ‘core business’ is gardening, we also want to include community in what we do as much as possible.

There are actually two associations. Horsenden Allotment and Garden Association (H.A.A.G.A) is responsible for running the shop and organising the competitions and shows. Horsenden Allotment Association (H.A.A) performs the plots and site management on behalf of the council. Both organisations are run by volunteers. Extra pairs of hands are always welcome whether it be weighing produce, delivering leaflets, participating in decision making or any number of other tasks that contribute to our success.

We offer excellent prices for HAAGA members on your common gardening needs including soil improvers, seeds, bulbs, etc. Membership is an inflation busting £3 for a year. New members are always welcome.

If you feel up to the challenge, we do sometimes have allotments available during the year. Come and enjoy the deep satisfaction of growing your own and save some money while your doing it!

This is a website put together by volunteers and friends of HAAGA and HAA. It is being hosted for free by wordpress.com. As part of this, it may contain adverts related to our content. Some computer on the internet has arranged this and we do not necessarily endorse any product or service shown on our site unless we say so in our text.

Happy Gardening!
