First Coffee Morning

We had a warm and sunny morning for our first coffee morning.  It was nice to have so many people attending.  The conversations varied from ‘what is a Parliament clock’ to recommendation for pubs serving freshly made food.  I  also got a few tips on how to stop the squirrels from taking the nuts off the bird table.  After such a relaxing morning, we will be doing this again.  The feedback I got was that 9 was too early for some and they preferred it to finish at midday.  As the next coffee morning will be on a school day, we will start at 9 to allow parents and carers to come after dropping the children at school, but we will finish at midday.

The next coffee morning will be:

Tuesday 23rd June from 9:00-12:00 at the Community Plot.

See you all there – Rajni.

The H.A.G.G.A COMMUNITY GARDEN in progress

The garden is coming along, thanks to a lot of volunteers, donations of materials (a special thanks to Lords Builders Merchants –  recycling/upcycling & generous donations of planting.  We thought you’d like to see what we’ve been up to and maybe even get involved yourself. The next volunteer day is on Saturday 6th June from 10am – 12 noon where everyone is welcome to come and give a hand in creating this little community oasis. Hope you can spare us some time. Thank you.
